The fresh starts and new beginnings are the promise of a new year. Despite all the uncertainty in 2020, 2021, and 2022, this upcoming year holds plenty of hope for those looking to move forward!

Whatever you want to focus on, improving your career, wellness goals, or expanding your family, creating a virtual vision board can effectively bring clarity and motivation into every aspect of your life.

With all the technological advancements in the world these days, there are brilliant tools available that make putting together a powerful visualization more effortless than ever before – no cutting pictures out of magazines needed!

In this blog post, I’ll give you tips on creating a visual roadmap for achieving your dreams using modern resources. Let’s get started!

This post is about creating a virtual vision board to help you move forward and elevate your life.

How to Create a Virtual Vision Board

There are many resources out there but, in my opinion, the best resource for a virtual vision board is Canva. Canva provides users with an easy-to-use platform that allows them to create professional-looking designs without any prior experience or skill set.

Users have two options when creating an account with Canva: free or pro. The free version offers plenty of options for folks creating social media posts, stickers for personal use, vision boards, presentations, family newsletters, or flyers. The possibilities are limitless.

To create a free Canva account:

  1. Go to www.canva.com.
  2. Click the purple sign-up button in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Choose from the list of accounts which one you want to sign up with and follow the prompts.

The fun begins after you have created your free account.

1) To begin the process, make a list of the top 10 things you want to accomplish this year. To get your mind thinking in the right direction, here are some examples:

  • travel to England
  • run a half-marathon
  • read 35 books
  • learn to play Bach’s 8th Invention on the piano
  • learn to knit
  • learn French
  • plant a vegetable garden
  • learn a new skill (coding, bookkeeping, marketing, etc.)
  • schedule a family dinner once a week
  • have lunch with a friend every month

2) Log on to your Canva account and in the search bar, type the words “vision board.”

3) Browse the templates. There are templates where you can add images, templates with flow charts, or templates for just words and quotes.

4) Click on your favorite.

5) Click on the purple “Customize this template” in the upper right-hand corner.

6) From this point, you can replace images with images about things on your list, add quotes or text, add stickers or other fun items to help you remember your goals for this year.

To add or replace images:

  1. Click on the photos icon in the black column on the left-hand side and type in your first goal in the search bar. See the example below:

2. Click on the photo you would like to use (the images labeled with PROare for paid subscriptions only).

3. The photo will appear on your vision board template. You can then resize by clicking on the white places around the border to fit a particular area. See the example below:

7) Continue adding images to fit your goals for the year.

8) Once you have everything exactly as you like, click the share button to download. See the example below:

9) You can then download your finished product to print and hang where you can see it daily, or use the digital version as your desktop, laptop, or phone wallpaper.

A vision board is a productive tool that can help you elevate your life in many ways. It’s a physical representation of your goals, dreams, and aspirations that is a source of inspiration and motivation on your journey to success. By creating a vision board, you are actively visualizing your future self and taking the necessary steps to bring it to fruition. This can lead to increased focus, improved productivity, clearer thinking, and enhanced decision-making.

Think of it as an affirmation or mantra you often repeat throughout the day – this serves as both a reminder and an encouragement to stay on track toward achieving your goals. Moreover, seeing positive images on your vision board encourages positivity in general.

Additionally, having a vision board also serves as an excellent way to measure progress towards one’s goals – when we take time out each day to review our boards and see what progress has been made over time, it gives us greater insight into our progress. It keeps us motivated to continue working hard on our goals until they are realized.

A vision board encourages people to step out of their comfort zone by striving for something bigger than themselves, ultimately creating an abundance instead of a lack or scarcity mindset.

When used correctly, it can be incredibly inspiring to open up new doors of opportunity both personally and professionally, leading individuals into growth opportunities they likely never thought possible before!

The sky is the limit.
